What is an arc shot in video?
An arc shot moves the camera around a subject in part of a circle, changing the background and angle while holding attention on the subject near the center of the move.
The curved path can reveal a relationship, make a moment feel energized, or create a sense of circling scrutiny. It is distinct from a pan because the camera physically travels and produces parallax.
An arc may use curved dolly track, a gimbal, Steadicam, or other mobile rig. Maintaining radius, height, focus, and a clean background requires blocking and a clearly marked path.
