How do I keep the best quality when exporting a graded video?
Original resolution is the default, so your video keeps its source dimensions and frame timing. Exports use a generous H.264 bitrate that scales with resolution and frame rate, prioritising detail over small file size. GPU colour processing and hardware video encoding are used when supported, with a local software fallback. You can choose a lower export height when needed; smaller videos are never upscaled.
How can I do advanced colour grading online for free?
Start with a cinematic preset or a neutral look, then adjust exposure, contrast, saturation, temperature, tint, shadows and highlights. Split toning adds separate colours to shadows and highlights, while fade lifts blacks for a softer film look. Preview the changes on your own image or video, save the graded media, or download a LUT to reuse your colour grade on other clips. This free online color grading workflow needs no account and shows no ads.
Can I export a colour-graded video in 4K?
Yes. Select 4K in Video export height to export up to 2160 pixels high, preserving aspect ratio. Smaller sources are not upscaled. Compatible audio is retained in the H.264 MP4. 4K rendering uses more time and memory than 720p or 1080p, and requires a browser and device with suitable WebCodecs encoding support.
How do I create and download a custom LUT?
Choose a preset or start neutral, adjust exposure, contrast, saturation, white balance, shadows, highlights and split toning, then download the .cube file. The LUT includes the chosen look intensity. You do not need to upload an image or video to create a LUT.
Can I preview my LUT on an image or video and export it?
Yes. Choose a JPEG, PNG or WebP image, or a supported MP4, MOV or WebM video. Image previews have a before/after comparison slider; video previews play the original and graded frames side by side. Export a full-resolution PNG or an H.264 MP4 up to the selected height, with compatible audio retained. Video export requires WebCodecs encoding, such as in current Chrome or Edge. Media remains on your device.
Which LUT size should I choose, and where can I use it?
33 points per axis is a practical default. 17 makes a smaller file; 65 samples the color transform more finely. The standard 3D .cube file works in editors that accept that format, including this site’s color grading tool. Apply it to display-ready SDR footage in the same input color space. This creative LUT does not convert camera log or preserve HDR, and matching results depend on your editor’s color management and interpolation.
