Convert HEIC to JPG or PNG

Convert iPhone HEIC photos to JPG or PNG without uploading them. Select multiple HEIC or HEIF files, choose an output format and JPEG quality, then download each converted photo or the full batch as a ZIP. Photos are decoded one at a time in a browser worker to keep the interface responsive. This tool exports one still image per file; additional frames, depth data, HDR information and original metadata are not preserved.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert multiple HEIC photos to JPG online?

Select several HEIC or HEIF photos, choose JPG and a JPEG quality setting, then click Convert. The browser processes each file locally and shows a preview. Download photos individually or download all successful conversions in a ZIP archive. Duplicate filenames receive a numeric suffix.

Should I convert HEIC to JPG or PNG?

Choose JPG for smaller files that are easy to share and use on websites. Choose PNG to avoid JPEG compression of the decoded pixels, accepting a larger file size. Converting to PNG cannot restore detail lost in the original HEIC. Both options export a standard still image rather than preserving the complete HEIC container.

Is HEIC conversion private, and does it work in my browser?

Yes. Photos stay on your device and are decoded by a local browser worker using libheif, so native HEIC viewing support is not required. JavaScript and browser workers must be available. There is no account, upload or added watermark. The decoder downloads on first use.

Will HEIC conversion preserve EXIF, Live Photos and HDR?

This tool exports one still image from each input file. It does not copy original EXIF or GPS metadata, Content Credentials, extra image frames, depth maps or Live Photo video. Output is an 8-bit image and is not an HDR-preserving workflow. Keep the original HEIC if you need that information.

How many HEIC files can I convert at once?

You can select multiple files. Photos are decoded one at a time, but the converted JPG or PNG files remain in browser memory until the selection is replaced or the page closes. Smaller batches are more reliable on phones. Large collections and high-resolution PNG output use more memory, especially when creating the ZIP.
